Griffin in round 2 by taking Gomi down, rasslin the life out of him, gnp'ing him till Gomi rolls over giving Tyson the easy RNC. Then Dana cuts Gomi and he returns to Dream.

While I agree that if Gomi loses, and loses badly then he's an instant cut... but he's never fought for Dream and likely would be up sh!t's creek in Japan for a while. He hasn't been on good terms with FEG, and I'm not sure how WVR would view him with the way he bombed out of Sengoku, then bailed on them for the UFC. He'd probably retire and pursue his pro-surfing career, honestly.

I don't see the fight playing out as you described at all, I see them both going for broke on the feet. Gomi is not an easy takedown provided he's in good shape, he's always been quite a good wrestler. However, as big as a Gomi fan as I ever was and ever will be, I'm not banking on seeing the most in shape Gomi ever, which saddens me, as this is the point in his career where his training should be the most serious, but whatever... on to the next one.

Gomi and Griffin actually trained together while Gomi was with Xtreme Couture for a bit, which is more of a tidbit than anything else.

One way or another, WAR GOMI!

Had no idead Gomi was a surfer. He just hasn't shown any passion in a long time and Tyson is going to bring it.

Gomi surfs, but a pro-surfer he is not.

Gomi has been mediocre for a while now. Despite the recent loss, Tyson is still one of the top lightweights in the world.
