Default Bonnar's Appeal to overturn his UFC 110 bout denied

Seems kind of bogus to me. If an accidental illegal blow ends the fight, it should be a no contest.

Commisions are weird. I agree with Bonnar on this one though.

This was a case of the commission not wanting to step on the ref's toes, which is BS.

"A review was held ... and the Combat Sports Authority of NSW did not seek to interfere with the referee's decision," wrote Craig Waller, the Combat Sports Authority's executive director.

At least it looks like they will fight again in June.

Sucks, but if all the fans are aware this is BS, then that's the same as it being overturned.

Did he receive a win bonus?

Also, it may seem like it doesn't matter NOW, but only hardcore fans will remember it later...

I'd be pissed.

Seeing who posted before you, your post could be referring to the lift of Hello Japan's suspension.

I'm sure he's not happy about it, nor should be be. But whatever, I love Bonnar but that guy needs a serious fire under his ass. I hope this does it.

And, he wouldn't have gotten a win bonus (on the record anyways) regardless, since the fight would've been a draw, if I understand the situation correctly.

It goes a long way, and I'm sure means a lot to Bonnar, but it's still never going to be the same as being oveturned. A loss on the record is still a loss, no matter what the extenuating circumstances are. Sucks for Bonnar.
